Today we're taking a trip down memory lane, back to the 1990s. When we weren’t watching Friends or jamming out to the sweet sound of dial-up internet, we were having our eyes assaulted by some pretty, ahem, ‘interesting’ kit designs. Keep reading to see some of our favorites.
Scunthorpe United 1992
A strong start here featuring pattern on pattern. But it feels eerily familiar… where have we seen this before?

Can’t quite put my finger on it but moving on.
USA 1994
We have a love-hate relationship with this one. Because as bad as that denim is, the nostalgia hits hard. Side note: always thought a mullet flowing in the wind was the Australian dream, but this photo suggests otherwise.
Mexico 1994
Okay, so it’s a goalkeeper uniform, but we literally couldn’t look past it. We salute you Jorge Campos for arguably pulling off this selection of aggressive graphic shapes. Looking sharp.
Did we miss some of your favourites? Let us know!
Or, if you’ve learnt something from these cautionary tales, have a go at designing your own kit here.
